My approach to counselling is the culmination of more than 35 years of work as a leader, teacher, mentor and counsellor, a PhD in Education, a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology and many, many conversations with amazing mentors who have taught me how to connect and help people to reach for their highest potential.
I am passionate about walk and talk, an integrated approach to counselling, which incorporates movement, mindful awareness and critical reflection to enhance pre-teen, teen, adult, couples’ and family wellbeing. Through the counselling process, we explore the body’s neurobiological response to emotional triggers and then together, retrain the body/brain in order to break old habits and open the door to control of one’s responses to the plethora triggers that bombard us daily.
